A native of Wilson, Webb joins the Tobs following a successful stint as the Edenton Steamers 2011 Director of Operations and the Tobs concessions manager in 2009 and 2010.
“I am extremely excited to be part of Wilson Tobs’ tradition once again” Webb said. “I would like to thank Tobs President Greg Suire for the opportunity to work for my hometown team; and I am looking forward to expanding the positive influence that baseball and the Tobs have on my community.”
Overseeing the Tobs season and individual game ticket sales, Webb will also coordinate the Tobs’ newly formed Fleming Stadium Club. In addition, Webb will also spearhead the Wilson 9’s community outreach program, youth baseball camps and clinics and the Tobs fall high school baseball league.
“From day one, Thomas displayed a passion for the Tobs and his hometown,” Suire said. “This personal investment is a key component in the Tobs’ quest to expand baseball opportunities in the greater Wilson area. We are committed to enhancing the quality of life in Wilson and I am extremely confident that Thomas will stand at the forefront of this effort.”
