It’s been a long time coming, but the Universityof Minnesota issued a request for proposal last week soliciting design-build services for the development of a $7.5 million ballpark for the Golden Gophers. Proposals are due by Jan. 27. The facility, which will have artificial turf, is being targeted for completion by the end of this year. The Gophers currently play at 40-year-old Siebert Field.
