The County does not want to give Mandalay any of the normal out clauses that go into these types of agreements. Attendance clauses etc. They aren’t about to build a new 40 million dollar ballpark with taxpayers dollars and then let two of the richest sports properties in baseball (Mandalay and the Yankees) take the franchise somewhere else down the road. What works in Dayton hasn’t worked in SWB as far as attendance. The community has been turned off by Mandalay’s style of management. The great Mandalay couldn’t make it work in the old ballpark and now are demanding a new one. They have made many mistakes and now want a new stadium to cover for them You don’t need to be a genius to draw fans in a new facilty with the Yankees AAA PDC.
