Texas Collegiate League Up Next in Shreveport?

No real surprise here, but the Texas Collegiate League is very interested in grabbing up Shreveport (LA), now that the indy pro Shreveport-Bossier Captains (American Association) have been sold and will be moving to Laredo (TX).  According to the Shreveport Times, TCL chief Uri Geva is quoted as saying the following:

“We have been aggressively pursuing (the Shreveport market) ever since we heard about the upcoming changes in the American Association,” Texas Collegiate League president Uri Geva said. “We’re excited about the opportunity to work with that ownership group. To us, Shreveport-Bossier would be a magical connection. They would truly have one of the better stadiums in the league and the market is right up our alley.”
