PRESS RELEASE – Round Rock Express Baseball will host a watch party in the Intel Club at The Dell Diamond for the 2011 World Series between the Texas Rangers and St. Louis Cardinals. Doors will open one hour prior to first pitch, scheduled for 7:05 p.m. CDT each game. Along with food and beer specials, Rangers and Express merchandise will be available.
The best-of-seven series begins with games Wednesday and Thursday in St. Louis before moving to the Ballpark in Arlington for games Saturday, Sunday and Monday (if necessary). The final two games will be played in St. Louis should the series continue beyond Monday’s contest.
As the Rangers Triple-A affiliate, the Express claimed the Pacific Coast League American Southern Division title this season.
Five members of the Rangers American League Championship Series roster were members of the Express during the 2011 season: pitchers Scott Feldman and Yoshi Tateyama, infielder Esteban German, and outfielders Endy Chavez and Craig Gentry. Four others completed rehab assignments with the Express: catcher Mike Napoli, infielder Adrian Beltre, and outfielders Nelson Cruz and Josh Hamilton.
