PRESS RELEASE – Williamsport Crosscutters Vice President of Marketing & Public Relations, Gabe Sinicropi, was named the New York-Penn League’s Male Executive of the Year. He shares this year’s award with Connecticut Tigers Assistant General Manager Eric Knighton.
Crosscutters Vice President General Manager Doug Estes, who has worked side-by-side with Sinicropi since 1993, stated, “I have had the privilege of working with Gabe for nearly 20 years. He is not only the voice and face of our organization, but he also leads numerous departments, including sales, promotions & entertainment, while also heading up all our non-game day events including Terror at Bowman and our Hot Stove Dinner. Gabe is most deserving of this honor.”
“To be recognized by your peers is a great honor”, Sinicropi stated. “With all of the deserving people in our league, I am humbled to be chosen along with Eric.” The 2011 season marked his 19th fulltime and 26th overall in professional baseball. He has been with the team since it moved to Williamsport in the fall of 1993. Prior to his baseball career, Gabe was an Air-Personality and Program Director for radio stations in Geneva, NY.
Crosscutters President Paul Velte said, “Growing our client base is a very important part of our business. Having a person with Gabe’s talent has really helped us do that. With his leadership, we have been able to initiate new ideas so that fans have a better experience every time they visit Historic Bowman Field.”
Sinicropi has been a featured presenter at numerous Minor League Baseball Promotional Seminars and his volunteer service has included serving many local organizations. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Lycoming County United Way and Williamsport-Lycoming Chamber of Commerce while also serving as the chairman of the marketing committees for both organizations. Since 1998, he has served as a Public Address Announcer for the Little League World Series.
The award will be formally presented at the Baseball Winter Meetings this December in Dallas, Texas.
