Power Hire New GM

PRESS RELEASE – The West Virginia Power are pleased to announce the addition of Tim Mueller to their staff. Mueller, originally from Ocala, FL, will take on the role of General Manager and oversee the day to day operations and sales efforts of the team. He brings 15 years of industry experience with him, most recently as the Vice President of the Kannapolis Intimidators, a South Atlantic League team.

“I was extremely impressed with Charleston, Appalachian Power Park and the Power Staff during the 2009 All Star Game and it is both an honor and a pleasure to now be a part of this organization,” states Mueller. “I look forward to calling upon my 15 years of experience in Minor League Baseball to help West Virginia Power Baseball grow and continue to be an important asset as well as destination for everyone in the Kanawha Valley.”

Mueller attended Methodist University in Fayetteville, NC where he was a member of their NCAA Division III Varsity Football team. He graduated from MU in 1996 with a B.S. in Physical Education and a concentration in Sports Management.

Other staff changes include the addition of Nikki Mirth and William Bell. Both Mirth and Bell spent the 2011 season with the team as interns and now join the staff in a full time capacity. While Mirth takes on the role of Box Office Manager, Bell is an Event Planner and will oversee the efforts and scheduling of the Power Street Team.

“I am very excited to add Tim to our staff and know that he will be an asset to the franchise and the community,” said West Virginia Power Executive Vice President Andy Milovich. “Tim’s addition will allow me to step away from the day-to-day operations and focus on the direction of the franchise and new opportunities that we’ve previously been unable to pursue because of my involvement in the General Manager’s responsibilities. Tim, Nikki, and William understand the industry and bring the energy and enthusiasm necessary to take our franchise to the next level.”
