Just a Tide Bit of Ballpark Talk in Tuscaloosa, Baum Sets the Bar

To be the class of the SEC, the Alabama Crimson Tide baseball team will need a new ballpark or big improvements to 6,571-seat Sewell-Thomas Stadium.  A renovation is being contemplated in the university’s five-year plan, but there is nothing firm on deck. Read more here.

Despite renovations to the 63-year-old ballpark in 1996 and 2001, Sewell-Thomas is still far below the standard set by Triple-A-style Baum Stadium at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.  We visited Baum last year, and there is no comparison.
