The event will run from 4 to 10 p.m. and feature German-style food, live music, and entertainment on the field at the ballpark. The Yuengling family of beers will be highlighted including their seasonal Oktoberfest brew, Traditional Lager, Light Lager, Black & Tan, and more. Beer hall-style tents, a stage, food and beverage stations, and an area for dancing will be available right down on the field to create a festival atmosphere.
“We’re extremely excited to bring a first-of-its-kind event to the ballpark,” said Curve General Manager Rob Egan. “We really haven’t had a large-scale Oktoberfest in an outdoor venue in Blair County until now. We’re pleased Forever Broadcasting shared our vision of promoting this new fall event for our area and that Yuengling has committed to become its title sponsor.”
The Dick Tady Orchestra, Pittsburgh’s Grammy nominee & Grammy winner participant, will be the featured on-stage band for the initial and final acts. Plus, “Mr. Oktoberfest Joe Maloy” will provide the live music in between the sets of The Dick Tady Orchestra. Additional entertainment is also being planned for the stage and will be announced in the coming days.
