RiverHawks Adjust Ticket Prices for 2012

PRESS RELEASE – Affordable family entertainment in the Stateline region is getting even more affordable in 2012. The Rockford RiverHawks announced Friday they are restructuring their season and individual game ticket prices next season.

Full season packages start as low as $280 per seat for outfield box tickets. Infield box season tickets are $400, and premium box season tickets are $600 per seat. With the new prices, fans get eight games for free in each full season package. Home plate box and grandstand seating will be eliminated and replaced with more infield and outfield box seats.

Fans interested in mini-season ticket packages can choose from 24- and 10-game plans. The 24-game plan starts as low as $147 for an outfield box seat. Infield box seats are $210, and both provide three free games. The 10-game plan is $63 per outfield box seat, and $90 per infield box seat. Fans get one game free of charge.

“We are looking forward to a very productive and aggressive offseason for the RiverHawks,” Bryan Wickline, President of Rock River Valley Baseball, said. “Offering a deeper discount to our season ticket holders is just the first step in the many improvements our organization will be making in preparation for the 2012 season.”

Individual game tickets begin at $7 for outfield box seats. Infield box seats will remain $10. Premium box seats cannot be purchased for individual games.

New for 2012 will be military discounts. All active and retired military personnel with valid ID can get tickets in any section for $2 off the regular price. Children 12 and under will continue to get $2 off tickets in any section. “Our number one priority is to become a bigger part of the greater Rockford area,” Wickline said. “We need to do a better job of ingraining ourselves in this community and continuing to be a destination point for affordable family entertainment. We are excited about the opportunities in front of us, and taking this to the next level.”

The RiverHawks begin a three-game series against the Lake Erie Crushers at All Pro Freight Stadium in Avon, Ohio tonight. They return to Road Ranger Stadium at 7:05 p.m. Tuesday for their final six-game homestand of the season. “We still have six home games left before we put this season behind us, and we ask our fans to support the special promotions we have coming up this week,” Wickline said.
