PRESS RELEASE – The Seacoast Mavericks have not wasted any time in making plans for year two in the Futures Collegiate Baseball League. Less than three weeks after the completion of the inaugural FCBL campaign, the Mavericks Director of Baseball Operations Mike Daboul has announced some changes and additions to his front office staff.
Joel LaVallee will take over the responsibilities as General Manager replacing Sean Evans. Daboul stated a change was necessary simply because of the responsibilities of the position. “A major responsibility of our GM has to be on the fund raising and sponsorship side of the business. Joel has proven his abilities time and time again throughout our first year. Joel was my right hand man throughout this entire season.
“I am thankful to be a member of an organization that has the experience and knowledge to succeed on the field, but also within the community. The Seacoast Mavericks have demonstrated they are committed to operating a successful FCBL franchise inRochesterand the Seacoast region and I am looking forward to being a part of the plan to reach that goal,” LaVallee said.
Evans will still have a major role in the Mavericks organization, said Daboul. “Sean is a player personnel type of guy and that is where his passion in baseball lies. He evaluates players very well and that is where we will continue to tap into Sean’s strengths.”
