An investment group led by Dr. Steven Vale, a Scranton ophthalmologist, has offered $15 million to purchase the management rights for the Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees (International League). The team is owned by the Lackawanna County Multi-Purpose Stadium Authority. There’s still a tentative agreement on the table for the authority to sell the team to SWB Yankees LLC. Read more here.
