We thought from the beginning that the Atlantic League was simply being used as leverage in the Harry Grove Stadium lease bidding process to secure a better deal with the Single-A Frederick Keys (Carolina League). Frederick Atlantic LLC seems to think the same thing. Sour grapes? Not really. It’s just a recognition of the reality of doing battle in Maryland with an affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles. The only way the Keys were going to lose the market is if they submitted an arrogant lowball bid. Read more here.
