Voters Reject Atlantic League Ballpark, Coliseum in Nassau County

Come on Dan, voters will NEVER vote yes on a bill to increase their taxes to pay for a ballpark/arena. Nobody should be surprised by the outcome of the vote. Who says the Islanders are leaving anyhow ? Yes, the owner has made threats, but let’s see if follows through on them or finds another way to finance a new arena in LI.
People in Nassau heard “higher tax” and voted no. But when the Islanders leave the taxes will go up anyway to make up that lost revenue. So higher taxes and no teams. Very shortsighted.
I dont really care. There’s more than enough baseball teams in the New York area already.
