Superstar Japanese pitcher Hideki Irabu, 42, arrived in America to incredible fanfare, but after an up-and-down six-year career (1997-2002) in the Majors and a comeback attempt with the now-defunt indy pro Long Beach Armada (Golden Baseball League), Irabu was found dead of an apparent suicide on Wednesday at his home in Southern California.
