Volcanoes Release 2011 Promotional Schedule

PRESS RELEASE – The Salem-Keizer Volcanoes, Class A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants have released their promotional schedule for the 2011 season, and fans will be very excited. With a lineup of new and fan-favorite promotions, the Volcanoes continue to provide fun, family friendly and affordable entertainment for everyone in the WillametteValley. The season will feature a record nine (9) post-game Fireworks shows including after all six (6) Friday night home games of the year (June 24, July 1, July 8, July 29, August 12, August 26) and additional post-game firework shows on Saturday, July 2, Sunday, July 3, and Saturday, August 13.

The season begin with a pre-season game versus the College All Stars on Thursday, June 16th at Volcanoes Stadium – Game time 6:35pm, Gates Open 5:30pm. It will be Keizer Community Appreciation Night. Keizer residents can receive an outfield seat for just $5.00 for this game, a savings of $3.00 off normal day of game admission, by showing proof of residence – driver’s license, utility bill, etc! The game will also feature the first of six $1.00Thursday Nightswhere selected adult beverages are just $1.00 during the game in the Stadium’s Lava Lodge SportsPub.

On Sunday, June 19th, it is Father’s Day at Volcanoes Stadium, and DAD is going to be treated very well. A Father’s Day Breakfast will be served from 9:00 am to noon in the Stadium’s Lava Lodge Sports Pub, it is just $8.00 for adults, and $6.00 for kids. Menu includes ham, eggs, biscuits and gravy, and the chef’s special baked banana nut French toast. Coffee and juice is also included. Mimosas, champagne, wine, beer and a full bar will also be available. DAD, and his children will have the opportunity to compete in various free interactive games and have the chance to go on-the-field to play catch! 2011 SEASON OPENING NIGHT – There is always something very special about OPENING NIGHT in baseball, and this year will be no exception. The Volcanoes will open their 2011 season on Wednesday, June 22nd, against their in-state rivals – The Eugene Emeralds, affiliate of the San Diego Padres in a three-game homestand. Game time is 6:35; gates open at 5:00. It will be EXTREME MAKEOVERVOLUNTEER APPRECIATION NIGHT, and all volunteers wearing their blue extreme makeover shirt will be admitted FREE, and thanked and honored on the field in a pre-game ceremony. Chief Contractor Rich Duncan, of Rich Duncan Construction, and Ed Roberts of the OregonSchool for the Deaf will throw a Ceremonial First Pitch. Wednesday’s are also $1 Family Feast Night where fans can purchase a $1 Hotdog’s, $1 Pop, $1 Popcorn, and a $1 Ice Cream. There are 5 Wednesday FamilyFeast Nights during the season. Monday-Saturday, August 1-6 – 14U Babe Ruth Northwest Regional Tournament. The Keizer Knights and Volcanoes Stadium will host the week-long tournament featuring State Champions from Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Oregon and teams from British Columbia and Alberta, along with the host Keizer Knights. The winner of this tournament will advance to the Babe Ruth World Series in Virginia.

Sunday, August 7th – The Volcanoes open a three-game series against in-state rivals, the Eugene Emeralds. It’s National Kids Day and Senior’s $1.00 Meal Day. If you know a cancer survivor be sure to invite them to this very special event, you can surprise them too as the Volcanoes will display photographs of cancer survivors on the Stadium’s jumbotron FREE during the game…email the picture(s) to the Volcanoes at probasebal@aol.com (yes, one “L” in baseball). In memory of photographs will also gladly be displayed. Stay after the game and enjoy a post-game concert with easy listening and rock-n- roll tunes.

Sunday, August 21st – The Volcanoes open a three-game series against the Vancouver Canadians, affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays. It will be another Kid’s Eat FREE Sunday. Kids 12 & under, will receive a FREE hotdog, pop and popcorn. It will also be Senior Sunday with special $1.00 Senior Meal Deals! Seniors may purchase a Hot Dog and Soda OR a Hamburger and Soda for just $1.00. Kids will also get to Run the Bases after the game presented by PT Northwest. Bi-Mart is sponsoring Back to School night and fans are encouraged to bring school supplies to the game for the less fortunate which will be distributed by the Salem-Keizer Education Foundation. Monday, August 22nd – It ‘s the fifth and final KID’S NIGHT AT VOLCANOESSTADIUM, sponsored by Lancaster Mall, where kids 12 & under will be admitted FREE by emailing Jerry Walker at jwalker@volcanoesbaseball.com, and requesting a FREE ticket. There is no limit on the number of tickets you may request. Great night kids to come to a FREE Volcanoes game before school starts. Game time 6:35; gates open at 5:30.

Tuesday, August 23rd – The Volcanoes conclude their three-game series with the Vancouver Canadians, affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, and it will be All You Can Eat Night: Hotdogs, Hamburgers, Pop and Ice Cream from 5:30-8:30 – YES, All You Can Eat ! $7 Adults; $5 Kids. You don’t want to miss this night. It will also be KRAFT Singles TuesdayNights where fans can Buy One Outfield Ticket and Get A Second Outfield Ticket FREE with a KRAFT Singles package wrapper. Simply go to any grocery store, purchase KRAFT Singles, and redeem the package wrapper at the Stadium ticket office and Buy One Outfield Ticket and Get A Second Outfield ticket FREE. Game Time 6:35pm, Gates Open 5:30pm. In addition it’s Albany Community Appreciation Night. Albany residents can receive an outfield seat for just $5.00 for this game, a savings of $3.00 off normal day of game admission, by showing proof of residence – driver’s license, utility bill, etc. Albany Night is presented by KGAL Radio. Wednesday, August 24th – The Volcanoes open a five-game homestand against the Boise Hawks, affiliate of the Chicago Cubs. It’s the final, $1.00 Family Feast Nightspresented by Franz Bread. Fans can purchase Hot Dogs, Popcorn, Soda and/or Ice Cream for just $1.00 each!!! Yes, $1.00 Family Feast Nights – a tremendous offer. It is also Marion County Children and Families “Reading For All” Night, and several folks will be honored for their reading accomplishments. Game time 6:35; gates open at 5:30.

Thursday, August 25th – The Volcanoes continue their five-game homestand with the Boise Hawks, and it’s the final $1.00Thursday Nightwhere selected adult beverages are just $1.00 during the game in the Stadium’s Lava Lodge Sports Pub. The docents from the Evergreen Aviation and SpaceMuseum will be honored before the game. Game time 6:35; gates open at 5:30.

Friday, August 26th – It will be Fan Appreciation Night, Marion County Employee Night and Union Solidarity Nightsponsored by Super Media. We’ll have the opportunity to thank our tremendous fans. In addition, many Marion County Employees will be recognized for their hard work and dedication to making MarionCounty the best county in Oregon. PLUS, it will be Union Solidarity Night, a great opportunity for union members to show their unity. After the game, Blue Diamond is going to bring us another fantastic post-game Fireworks Show. You won’t want to miss this night as Blue Diamond may have some goodies for you to take home too! Game time is 7:05; gates will open at 6:00.

Saturday, August 27th- The Volcanoes continue their five-game homestand with the Boise Hawks, and it is Rotary Night. Many Rotarians from several surrounding Rotary Clubs will be thanked and honored on the field for their outstanding service to our communities. Also, it is Willamette University Night with many of their incoming Freshmen and Alumni being recognized. Willamette’s mascot, Blitz, will join Crater to entertain the fans. It is also the final Saturday Prize Wheel Night where fans can spin to win a great prize. Have fun spinning the Prize Wheel. It is the last Buy 1, Get 1 FREE on Selected Concession Items night – pop to elephant ears. Items vary by inning. Game time is 7:05; gates open at 6:00.

Sunday, August 28th – It will be the Volcanoes last regular season game of the year as they close the five-game homestand with the Boise Hawks. It is Lions Club Night. Many Lions from several surrounding Lions Clubs will be thanked and honored on the field for their outstanding service to our communities. Also, it is the last Senior Day $1.00 Meal of the regular season sponsored by Salem Center Mall. Seniors may purchase a Hot Dog and Soda OR a Hamburger and Soda for just $1.00. Also, it is the last, KID’S EAT FREE – yes, kids 12 & under, will receive a FREEhotdog, pop and popcorn. After the game, kids will get to Run The Bases one last time presented by PT Northwest. Game time is 5:05; gates open at 4:00.
