Sweets Announce Dad’s Day Promotion

PRESS RELEASE – Father’s Day at the ballpark has long been a summer tradition in America and this year Walla Walla Sweets fans will be able to join in with that tradition. On Sunday, June 19 the Sweets will host the Wenatchee AppleSox and the team is offering two Father’s Day packages to help celebrate the occasion.

Option 1 features a limited edition Sweets’ Father’s Day adjustable cap, a hot dog and fountain drink combo and a reserved ticket to the game. This gift to dad is only $24.

Option 2 is called the Daddy & Me Pack and offers a pair of everything: (2) Reserved tickets to the game, (2) hot dogs, (2) fountain drinks and (2) limited edition Sweets’ Father’s Day caps (1 adult, 1 youth). The Daddy & Me Pack, geared toward children wanting to give their father the gift of a father-son or father-daughter night out at the ballpark will cost $45.

The limited edition Father’s Day cap is a powder blue cap with the Sweets’ ‘W2’ logo stitched on the front. A velcro adjust in the back allows for a perfectly snug fit on almost anyone’s head. The caps come in both youth and adult sizes.

“Our Father’s Day packages are unique, affordable gifts for families to give to their fathers on his special Sunday,” said Sweets’ manager of retail operations, Katie Baxter. “We’ve received a lot of requests for the powder blue caps individually, but they are only available with these Father’s Day gifts.”

The Father’s Day options for Sweets fans will be available to purchase online, over the phone by calling 522-BALL or in the Sweets Shoppe. They will not be available at the Borleske Stadium Box Office on the day of the game. However, availability pending, the gift packs will be available for day-of-game purchase in the Sweets Shoppe.
