Jerseys Revealed for 2011 Atlantic League All-Star Game

PRESS RELEASE – With the 2011 Atlantic League All-Star game just eight short weeks away, The York Revolution has released the look of the official All-Star Game jerseys. For the first time, the Atlantic League mid-season summit will come to Downtown York, PA and Sovereign Bank Stadium on Wednesday, July 13.  Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Designed by Concepts-York, a firm which handles many of the Revolution’s design needs, the look of the jersey was created specially for the 2011 All-Star Game.  The Freedom Division stars (York Revolution, Lancaster Barnstormers, Somerset Patriots and Road Warriors) will wear navy blue jerseys with gold sleeves, trim and stars across the front, while the Liberty Division (Bridgeport Bluefish, Camden Riversharks, Long Island Ducks and Southern Maryland Blue Crabs) will wear the inverse of that design, gold jerseys with navy blue sleeves, trim and stars.

The jerseys will be adorned with the official Atlantic League All-Star Game Logo on the left sleeve, which can be seen above and in the images below.  The right sleeve will feature the Orthopedic & Spine Specialists logo, the official sports medicine provider of the York Revolution who are sponsoring the jerseys, and the United Way logo.  During the game, there will be a silent auction for the game-used jerseys on the concourse, with the proceeds benefitting the United Way.

Produced by OT Sports, the jerseys are made of Pro Aero Mesh material; durable yet light, which will be ideal for potentially very warm mid-July weather.  The players will wear their individual team caps during the game to properly represent the organization they play for.

Dallastown, PA native Reed Gunderson is overseeing all of the York Revolution’s All-Star Game planning and activity in the team’s front office.

“It’s a challenge to develop a one-time, special jersey that is both unique and stylish,” said Gunderson.  “With the help of Concepts-York, I believe we’ve accomplished that, and we’re quite confident these great jerseys will make a bundle for a very worthy charity in the United Way,” he continued.  “Now that we’re only two months away from the first pitch of the All-Star Game, it’s very exciting to watch all the final details come together.”

On that note, Gunderson added that announcements will be coming very shortly concerning the pre-game Home Run Derby presented by AAA, and a celebrity ceremonial first pitch.  For more information about the All-Star Game, click here.
