Nassau Co. Referendum Would Tie NHL, Atlantic League Projects Together

Nassau County (NY) Executive Edward Mangano announced on Wednesday a plan to hold a public referendum this summer to seek voter approval for a $400 million project that includes a new home for the NHL’s New York Islanders and a $50 million ballpark for a new indy pro Atlantic League team.  Read more and watch video here.  Thanks to John Cerone for the story.

  1. Have you seen it written anywhere that the ballpark would be for an Atlantic League team ? That’s what I would guess, but I haven’t seen anything yet that indicates that. Was just curious …
