Seacoast Mavericks Hire Director of Business Operations

PRESS RELEASE – The Seacoast Mavericks of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League announced today the hiring of Jim Anderson as director of business operations.  Anderson, a native of Nashua, NH, has spent 16 years in professional sports, 10 in Major League Baseball.  Most recently, he was assistant director of media relations for the St. Louis Cardinals from 2004-2009.  Anderson also worked in the media relations department of the Detroit Tigers from 2000-2003.

Anderson has played key roles in a number of large events.  He assisted in the planning and openings of two Major League ballparks; Comerica Park in Detroit and the new Busch Stadium in St. Louis.  He has also worked the MLB postseason five times, four with the Cardinals that included two World Series trips and a World Championship in 2006.  Anderson was also integral to the media setup for the 2009 MLB All-Star Game in St. Louis.

Mike Daboul, Director of Baseball Operations for the Mavs said the organization is excited to have Anderson join their team.  “Jim brings such a wealth of knowledge and baseball experience with him. He really ties together what we are trying to do as an organization both on and off the field.”

The Seacoast Mavericks begin play in the Futures Collegiate Baseball League’s inaugural season on June 9 at home versus the Torrington (CT) Titans.  The team will be based in Rochester, NH and play their home games at Bert George Field at Spaulding High School.  The Rochester Chamber of Commerce is hosting a “Business Afterhours” with the Mavericks this Wednesday at Granite Steakhouse.
