PRESS RELEASE – “We’re kicking our inaugural season off in style,” Slammers Director of Promotions and Community Relations Kelli Drechsel said. “We have a ton of awesome giveaways this summer that our fans will be lining up to get!”
Some of the highlights this year include Opening Weekend, where fans will receive magnetic schedules every game and T-shirts on Sat., May 21. “Bark in the Park” returns to Silver Cross Field on Sunday, June 5, where you can bring man’s best friend to the yard. An exciting “Diamond Dig” occurs the night of Wednesday, June 15. If you like watching amazing juggling, David “No Way” Burlet performs Sunday, June 19. That week only gets better as “The Zooperstars” stop by on Thursday, June 23. Everyone’s favorite nerd Myron Noodleman (pictured) will perform for the crowd on Wednesday, August 24th.
Giveaways such as baseball cards, bats, trucker hats, and more are also dotted across the promotional schedule. The Slammers will also feature special mystery giveaways, the identities of which will only be released on Facebook.
Individual tickets go on sale at 12:01 a.m. tomorrow on www.jolietslammers.com. Fans can come to the Box Office starting at 10 a.m. tomorrow to purchase seats. Reserved seats are $10; while a spot on the lawn will cost fans only $5 each. You can still buy season tickets and 16-game flex plans by calling the Box Office at 815-722-2287.
