Barnstormer Unveil Enhanced Look with New Alternative Logos and Unis

PRESS RELEASE – When the Lancaster Barnstormers open their seventh Atlantic League season this Friday evening, April 29, they will be sporting an updated look on the field at Clipper Magazine Stadium.

This fresh appearance is not an overhaul of the team’s identity that has become synonymous with spring and summer fun in Lancaster. Rather, it is an extension of the barn theme, so prevalent in Lancaster County, that was adopted by the local franchise at its inception for the 2005 campaign.

Three facets of those sturdy structures that dot the landscape of Lancaster County have been incorporated into this modified look. The first, and most comprehensive is that “plank” markings, indicating the basic framework of Lancaster agricultural life, appear throughout the redesigned uniforms. This design shows up in the word “Lancaster” on the front of the main jersey, in the “LB” logo on the new weeknight caps, and in the word “Stormers” on the front of the Saturday uniform top.

The primary home jerseys will also now feature a hex symbol, which uses Lancaster’s traditional red rose as well as the letters “L” and “B.”

New-look alternate logos and hats!

Pointing the direction to more wins will be a weathervane-style cap logo that will be used on the team’s Saturday night home hats.

Perhaps the most fundamental addition is that black will be included in the team’s color scheme. This will be noticeable throughout the uniforms and caps this season. The Saturday “Stormers” home jersey will be black with red numbers outlined in tan. The weeknight “LB” caps will be black with a red bill, while the Saturday weathervane hats will be solid black, save for the logo.

“With a new team and a new manager for our seventh season, we took the opportunity to freshen up our brand and add further dimension to our identity,” said Barnstormers President Jon Danos. “Our intention is not to replace the signature look, but rather to enhance it.”

The Barnstormers will also offer a new merchandise line featuring the enhanced look, available at the Inside Corner team store.

The Barnstormers will host the Road Warriors Friday evening at 7:00 at Clipper Magazine Stadium. A limited number of seats are still available, and lawn seating will be available at the gate. There will be fireworks extravaganzas immediately following both the Friday and Saturday games on Opening Weekend.
