PRESS RELEASE – Monkey business will be in full affect this summer at Holman Stadium as the Silver Knights welcome monkey sensation DJ Jango (June 29), Cowboy Monkeys with the Cowboy Rodeo (July 20) and the return of Monkey Boy for the final weekend of the season (July 29 & 30).
DJ Jango is always a fan-favorite wherever she visits as she interacts with fans and does amazing magic. Cowboys Rodeo has been dubbed one of the greatest promotions of all-time and a must-see as cowboy monkeys ride around on dogs herding sheep. A fan-favorite in Nashua for years Monkey Boy will make his return to Holman.
“We are not monkeying around as the Silver Knights are more than just a baseball game with us,” said President Tim Bawmann. “To us the baseball is part of our event and it is our goal from the moment fans walk into Holman Stadium to when they leave Holman Stadium they are entertained to the fullest.”
Other highlights this summer include a Father’s Day $1,000 Money Drop from a Helicopter (June 19), Boston Bruin Shawn Thornton visiting on Bruins Night (July 24), beloved Red Sox mascot Wally the Green Monster (July 12) and Fireworks after every Friday home game.
After every home game kids will be invited on the field to run the bases.
Ever dream of sleeping over on the field in a tent at Holman Stadium? Here’s your chance as after the game on July 30 fans are invited to sleepover on the outfield grass as part of our Boy Scouts Sleepover promotion.
Other fun themes being planned include a Beatles Night (July 9) where the Beatles Cover Band Fab 4Eva will perform post game and Baseball Bingo at every Wednesday home game where fans can win some great prizes.
July 12 is $1,000 Hot Dog Night where when a fan purchases a hot dog they have a chance to find money with their hot dog. A fan could find $1, $5, $10, $20 or even a $50 bill.
July 13 is a special Camp Day with an 11:35 a.m. start and special appearance from Super Mario Bros. Mario and Luigi.
July 17 is a kids day featuring the real-life Emily Elizabeth from Clifford the Big Red Dog and an exact replica of KITT from the TV Show “Knight” Rider in honor of the Silver “Knights.”
Giveaways scheduled to the first 500 fans are a Silver Knights T-shirt (July 15), Glow in the Dark Frisbee (July 2), Silver Knight Bobble Head (July 10) and a Card Set Giveaway (July 30).
The Silver Knights also have planned special promotional opportunities including $1 Hot Dog Nights on Tuesday home games and $1 Draft/Soda Nights on Thursday home games. Every Thursday night is Country Night with Country 102.5 FM featuring a live band performing from 6 p.m. – 7 p.m.
“This is just the start of the promotional schedule and we feel good about the start to it,” said Bawmann. “We look forward to adding to our promotional schedule to give the Silver Knights fans the best product we possibly can.”
