Modern Woodmen Park Flood Protection Update

PRESS RELEASE – The City of Davenport will be providing fans with safe and easy access into Modern Woodmen Park during the current Mississippi River flood. Currently, flood panels are in place around the front plaza of Modern Woodmen Park. The upcoming homestand, April 15-20, will still take place as scheduled. A pedestrian walkway will be in place allowing fans to safely and easily pass over the flood waters railroad tracks and flood walls when the final flood panels are installed to seal off the remaining section of the front plaza.

Current projections indicate that flood waters will reach the complete perimeter of the flood protection by Sunday. It is anticipated that the parking lot west of the stadium under the Centennial Bridge will be closed by Monday’s game.
