PRESS RELEASE – The Elmira Pioneers are proud to announce that the inaugural Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League All Star Game will be played on Monday, July 18 at Dunn Field in Elmira.
“We are delighted that the PGCBL Board of Directors selected Elmira to host the league’s first All Star game. It will be a lot of work but, the team can’t wait to put on a fun filled extravaganza.” said GM Jeff Kunion.
The All Star game program includes a pregame picnic in the new Texas Roadhouse Picnic Pavilion, with former Major League All Star Tommy John as the featured speaker and a homerun hitting contest. After the game the Pioneers will launch a Fireworks Show, presented by the City of Elmira.
In game festivities include “Lucky Fan” giveaways, including an HD TV, a digital camcorder a DVD player, and the Allegiant Air Weekend Vacation in Orlando.
