JetHawks Kick off Season with Promotion-Packed Seven-Game Homestand

PRESS RELEASE – The Lancaster JetHawks kick off the 2011 season with a promotion-packed seven-game homestand at Clear Channel Stadium April 7 against the High Desert Mavericks. Giveaway nights, Cheers Buck Beers and Friday Fireworks are just a few of the promotions fans will enjoy in the opening homestand of 2011.

The JetHawks square off against High Desert on April 7 in the season opener for both squads. The first 2,500 fans in attendance will receive a 2011 JetHawks magnet schedule courtesy of Wells Fargo. Additionally, it’s the first Cheers Buck Beers night of the season with $1 domestic draft beers available for purchase through the 6th inning. First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m.

The first of 11 postgame fireworks shows at Clear Channel Stadium will take place following the second game of the JetHawks-Mavericks series April 8. Game time is set for 7 p.m.

Game three of the homestand features a re-usable cup giveaway with the first 1,200 fans in attendance receiving a JetHawks souvenir cup courtesy of Pepsi. The cup can be used throughout the season for soda refills at discounted prices at the Hangar. First pitch is slated for 7 p.m. April 9.

Big League Dreams returns for Sunday’s series finale between Lancaster and High Desert. Fans are encouraged to support their favorite Major League team by wearing that team’s apparel. Additionally, fans will have the opportunity to play catch in the outfield before the game and kids can run the bases following the game. The first 1,000 kids ages 12 and under will receive a voucher for a free hot dog, chips and soda. Game time is scheduled for 2 p.m.

Monday’s series opener against the San Jose Giants features the debut of a new weekly promotion at the Hangar. Mmm Mmm Monday gives fans the opportunity to purchase sandwiches at half price and hot dogs for just $1! First pitch is slated for 7 p.m.

Heritage Nights, another new weekly promotion, begins on Tuesday April 12. Fans attending the JetHawks-Giants game can celebrate international cultures with food, music and contests at every Tuesday home game. German Night will be the first heritage night of the season followed by Hispanic Night on May 3. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Tuesday’s game is also the first Kraft Singles Tuesday Night Tickets contest. By presenting a Kraft Singles wrapper at the Clear Channel Stadium box office, fans can get 2-for-1 tickets for any Tuesday home game.

The homestand concludes with We Win You Win Wednesday. If the JetHawks win any Wednesday home game, fans in attendance will receive free tickets to the next Wednesday home game. First pitch is slated for 7 p.m.
