PRESS RELEASE – The Normal CornBelters, presented by the Illinois Corn Farmers, is excited to announce the 2011 promotional calendar. Following a six-game road trip to begin the second season, the CornBelters will play its first home game of the 2011 campaign at the Corn Crib on May 27 at 7 p.m. versus the Southern Illinois Miners on CEFCU Opening Night!
The Normal CornBelters will have several promotional giveaways (for the first 1,000 fans) throughout the season, including:

In addition to promotional giveaways, the Corn Crib offers daily themes for each night of the week:
Early Bird Mondays – Get out to the Corn Crib early every Monday night for half-price concessions and 50% off one merchandise item per fan! Both of these special deals are only in effect between 6:00 and 6:30 p.m.
Reading ‘Round the Bases Tuesdays – Every Tuesday night, CornBelters/Rosati’s of Normal Reading Program kids will have the opportunity to be recognized during a pre-game parade around the warning track. Reading Program participants are also welcome to use their ticket voucher on this night for the best available seating in the ballpark! All kids in attendance are welcome to run the bases after the game every Tuesday night!
Dog Days Wednesdays – Wednesdays have gone to the dogs! Don’t forget to bring out your four-legged best friends. All dogs must stay in the lawn during the game.
Thirsty Thursdays – Every Thursday night, select draft beers will be available for only $1.00! There will also be a bags tournament on the concourse every Thursday as well!
CEFCU Fireworks Fridays – Stick around after the game for a spectacular fireworks show that you can watch from the field! The CornBelters will also be wearing patriotic jerseys to show their American pride every Friday night!
State Farm Starstruck Saturdays – Catch celebrities from the worlds of television, sport, music and more every Saturday night as they throw out the first pitch and sign autographs!

Autograph Sundays – Stick around after the game every Sunday to go down on the field and get autographs from all of your favorite CornBelters players and coaches as well as Corny!
Besides giveaways and daily themes, each of the 48 home games will have a specific individual theme. Among returning favorites from last season are: CEFCU Opening Night (May 27), Cancer Survivors Night Presented by Community Cancer Center (June 5), Armed Forces Night (July 5), Battle of the Bravest Pre-game Softball Game (August 14), Cram the Crib (September 2) and Fan Appreciation Night (September 4).
New promotional nights will include: Father’s Day Weekend Workshop Built by the Home Depot (June 17), Ladies/Beauty Night (June 27), Ag Week Presented by the Illinois Corn Farmers and their checkoff (July 18-23), Local Music Showcase (August 13), and the Taste of Central Illinois (August 27).
