It appeared that everything w0uld grow quiet on the ballpark lawsuit front in Charlotte, after the North Carolina Court of Appeals ruled against Jerry Reese in his fifth, and expected final, lawsuit to try and stop a new uptown ballpark for the Triple-A Charlotte Knights. Not so fast. The Knights’ lease on the land in question expires in September, if a new, privately-funded ballpark is not built on it. Should Mecklenburg County decide to amend the lease to give the Knights more time to construct a new stadium, Reese promises to head back to court. Read more and view news clip here.
