PRESS RELEASE – With Individual Game Tickets going on sale tomorrow at 9am, the Springfield Cardinals are excited to unveil their promotional schedule for the 2011 season.
Returning to the lineup are fan-favorites like AM Pyrotechnics Friday Night Fireworks and Hiland Dairy Ice Cream Sundays. 10 different nights will feature a spectacular Fireworks display including Opening day, closing day, an Independence Day Extravaganza along with every Friday night! There are 10 Sunday home games in 2011, which means that families will enjoy 10 Hiland Dairy Ice Cream Sundays, which are always followed by the Missouri National Guard Kids Run the Bases.
Former Cardinals’ Pitcher and Hall of Famer Steve Carlton will be at Hammons Field on Opening Night, April 14th, to throw out the first pitch as Great Southern presents the first of two consecutive nights giving away 2011 Magnet Schedule Picture Frames.
Springfield will have two Paint-Your-Own Louie Bobblehead nights presented by Great Southern. Fans will be given paints and brushes and will have the opportunity to paint the bobblehead however they choose. Fans will also be able to come back to Hammons Field on August 13th with their painted Louie bobbleheads and enter into a contest to win special prizes!
Continuing a popular tradition, Johnsonville’s “Buck a Brat” nights return every Thursday. The Cardinals will offer Johnsonville Bratwursts for only $1 at concession stands. Mondays, the Cardinals will be offering Fazoli’s Four Packs where fans will receive four seats for the game, four Cardinals’ shirts and a Family Meal for 4 at Fazoli’s all for only $40. And KRAFT Singles returns offering buy one get one free tickets when fans bring their KRAFT singles package wrapper to the ticket office.
The Cardinals are very excited about continuing their community initiative by wearing themed jerseys throughout the season. Fans will have the opportunity to bid on that night’s game worn jerseys with the proceeds going to a different charity each night. The specialty jerseys include Camo Cardinals Jerseys which will benefit the Children’s Miracle Network May 14th, Pink Cardinals Jerseys to benefit the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks July 10th, 1936 Throwback Jerseys to benefit the United Way July 30th and St. Patrick’s Day Jerseys April 17th to benefit Champions Committed to Kids.
New to the promotional calendar in 2011 are two new bobbleheads. First will be the Steve Carlton bobblehead presented by Maria’s Restaurant on July 26th and Vision Clinic and Oakley Sunglasses will bring fans a “Pop” Warner bobblehead on August 14th. Also new this season are the Cline Dental Cardinals Garden Gnomes July 21st, the Bud Light Bar-B-Q Set Giveaway August 25th and the Hiland Dairy Pillow Mascot July 30th.
