PRESS RELEASE – In the spirit of March Madness and the announcement of our 2011 Promotional Schedule we figured we would rank our top 16 promotions and have a fan voting, bracket-style tournament to determine which promotion is most popular among fans.
The tournament will pit 16 ranked promotional events against each other, with our fans “liking” them on our Facebook page. We also encourage our Facebook friends to post who they think will make the Promotional March Madness “Final Four” by posting on our Facebook wall. You might be asking, what’s in it for me? Facebook friends who submit the correct “Final Four” will automatically be entered to win an once-in-a-lifetime behind the scenes Barnstormers Spring Training Experience! If selected, you will be invited to participate in a day of spring training activities with the Barnstormers including a team workout at B2B Baseball Academy in Manheim. After the workout you will be brought back to Clipper Magazine Stadium to have Lunch with the team, and to top it all off, you will be provided VIP seating for that days spring training game. This is not your run of the mill seating, if you are selected to be the winner you will be allowed to SIT IN THE DUGOUT during the game!!!
- 16 Barnstormers Promotion Events for this Season have been selected and seeded (each event is represented by a different Barnstormers Front Office Member).
- The Tournament will start March 17th and conclude March 31st.
- Every day there will be a different matchup between two different events (posted on our Facebook wall).
- Fans vote by “liking” one of the posted events each day on our Facebook page. Whichever has the most “likes” wins that matchup and moves on to the next round.
- Fans who select the correct final four will be entered to Win a VIP Spring Training Experience (submission period begins on March 17th and ends on March 24th)

Hang Tough: A Tribute To Major Dick Winters & The Men of Easy Company – Monday, June 6th
On June 6th 2011, the 67th Anniversary of D-Day, we are having a special tribute to Major Dick Winters and The Men of Easy Company at Clipper Magazine Stadium. It is a collective effort between the Barnstormers, Tim Gray Media, and Jordan Brown with HangTough6644.org to not only provide Winters and Easy Company the tribute they deserve, but to raise funds for the Richard Winters Leadership Project. The centerpiece of the event will be an exclusive fundraising reception in the Wheatland Suite. This once in a lifetime gathering will consist of surviving veterans of the Original Easy Company, actors from HBO’s Band of Brothers, Emmy Award Winning filmmaker Tim Gray, government officials, authors, historians and other dignitaries. We just can’t announce the names of the veterans and actors yet for specific reasons, but believe us; it will be well worth the wait!! The event will also feature an auction of exclusive collector’s items, raffles, and the players will be wearing one of kind jerseys replicating the 101st Airborne’s uniforms from WWII.

Faith & Family nights have always been a popular night here at the Barnstormers. It’s a wholesome night that resonates well with the people of Lancaster County, just like Barnstormers baseball! This year, on four different dates, the event has gotten much bigger thanks to WJTL FM 90.3! The main component with each will be a live musical performance by area, and regional Christian musicians. Around that will be Barnstormer Player devotions, speakers, WJTL personalities, performances, and many activities around the Stadium.
