The Ottawa Lynx saga has finally come to an end. Five years ago, then-Lynx owner Raymond Pecor filed a $10.5 million lawsuit against the City of Ottawa for allegedly breaching the team’s lease for Lynx Stadium/Ottawa Stadium, when the city eliminated 600 parking spaces. In response, the city counter sued for $2.7 million seeking payment under the original agreement to build the ballpark. In a settlement, Pecor has agreed to withdraw his claim and pay the city $1.95 million. As you recall, the Triple-A Lynx were later sold and moved to Allentown (PA), where the club became the Lehigh Valley IronPigs. Read more here.
