The season will get off to a fast start with the home opener on Monday, April 11th featuring the traditional magnet schedule giveaway sponsored by Mazzio’s Italian Eatery. Saturday, April 23rd will feature the Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by the Burlington Rotary Club.
May is always highlighted by the annual Community Basket Day, to be held this year on Sunday, May 16th. Included in this year’s basket is a brand new Chevrolet Aveo. On May 15th, the Bees will honor our service men and women with Armed Forces Night. The first of six fireworks shows will take place on May 27th.
June will feature another fireworks show on the 10th. The first 500 fans will receive a 2011 Team Photo courtesy of Burlington Trailways and Photovisions on June 11th. Bark in the Park returns again on Sunday, June 12th. Young softball and baseball players will be honored on Little League Recognition Day on June 27th.
The Bees open the month of July with a bang with two holiday fireworks extravaganza shows on Friday, July 1st and Saturday, July 2nd. Both nights are sponsored by Catfish Bend Casino and J&M Displays. Also taking place is Christmas Eve in July (July 8th), Jimmy Buffett Night (July 15th), and Hawaiian Luau Night (July 29th). July ends with a bang as well with a fireworks show on July 29th sponsored by the Greater Burlington Partnership.
Show your allegiance on Cubs vs. Cardinals Rivalry Night on August 6th. The last fireworks show of the season takes place after the August 19th game against Cedar Rapids. The next day will be Oakland A’s night. The last home stand of the year will feature Iowa-Iowa St. Rivalry Night (September 2nd) and Fan Appreciation Day (September 5th).
The Bees will have three Community Weekends throughout the season. During Community Weekends, fans that live in the designated cities can show their ID at the ticket window and get a special discounted general admission ticket.
