PRESS RELEASE – The Northwest Arkansas Naturals are proud to release details pertaining to the promotional schedule for the 2011 season. Our 2011 calendar includes a great slate of giveaway items, the largest number of fireworks shows ever at Arvest Ballpark, and a return visit by the dancers from “America’s Team,” the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.
The Naturals will have eighteen fireworks shows throughout the season at Arvest Ballpark including Opening Day, all Friday home dates, and also Thursday, June 2nd, Saturday, July 3rd, Monday, July 4th, and Saturday, August 20th. The July 4th firework show, sponsored by Ozarks Electric Cooperative Corporation, promises to be one of the largest in Northwest Arkansas and is a regional tradition here at Arvest Ballpark.
Post-game fireworks will be part of our fridaynightbash® festivities. The Naturals also plan to bring back the popular “Faith and Family Night” promotion on one Friday night (May 6th) and a Saturday night (August 20th), each sponsored by Sam’s Furniture. Acts will be announced at a later date.

Most Saturday home games, as always, will feature giveaways sponsored by our corporate partners. The highlights include a Mike Moustakas Bobblehead Giveaway presented by Cox Communications (Saturday, May 21st), adult Naturals Championship Jerseys presented by Tyson Foods (Saturday, June 4th), a replica of the Texas League Championship Trophy presented by Western Federal Credit Union (Saturday, July 23rd), and our popular back to school Naturals Lunchbox giveaway presented by CCF Brands (Saturday, August 6th).
Kids will continue to run the bases after every Sunday home game as part of Family Sundays, led by members of the Naturals’ “Knothole Gang” sponsored by J.B. Hunt Transport.
The Famous Chicken, presented by Skippy, will return to Arvest Ballpark on Saturday, June 18th and headlines the list of national entertainment acts scheduled to visit Arvest Ballpark this summer. That night also includes a Skippy t-shirt giveaway for the first 2,500 kids. The Naturals certainly hope that the NFL can resolve its labor woes, but, nevertheless, the Naturals can’t wait to welcome to back the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, who are slated to make their return to Arvest Ballpark on Saturday, July 16th. The promotional calendar also includes visits from Nickelodeon characters Dora the Explorer and SpongeBob Square Pants.
The Naturals will also hold three SWEPCO School Kids Day games, on Wednesday, May 4th, Tuesday, May 10th, and Monday, May 23rd, and also have a summertime weekday matinee game planned for Wednesday, June 15th. The popular “Bark in the Ballpark” sponsored by Del-Monte Pet Products promotion where fans can bring their dogs to the ballpark will be on Sunday, May 8th. The Naturals will also have a special post-game catch for Father’s Day on June 19th, presented by PHILIPS NORELCO. The first 500 dads that bring their family will receive a souvenir baseball which they can use to play catch on the field after the game.
