The City of Kannapolis (NC) has voted to purchase Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium, home of the Single-A Kannapolis Intimidators, from Rowan County for $3 million, provided the payments on the interest-free financing do not begin until 2013. If agreed to, Kannapolis would pay the county $60,00 per year for the next 50 years. Fieldcrest opened in 1995. Read more here.
