PRESS RELEASE – The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters are pleased to announce a new Founding Partner for 2011 and beyond. The team has reached an agreement with NAPA Auto Parts, who will present some new opportunities at Witter Field during the upcoming season and for years to come.
“The Rafters are excited to strengthen our partnership with NAPA Auto Parts this year and for years to come,” said general manager Liz Kern. “We are thrilled to offer the NAPA Auto Parts “Race for the Pennant” on-field promotion again in 2011, as well as many other features at Witter Field for fans to enjoy.
New to Witter Field in 2011 will be the NAPA Auto Parts “Non-Profit of the Week.” Through this sponsorship, one area non-profit organization will have the opportunity to be on the Rafters pre-game radio show, will receive a public address announcement at the game, receive four free tickets to that night’s game, and will be able to set up a booth at the front entrance of the stadium to distribute information relevant to their organization.
NAPA Auto Parts will also be the presenting sponsor of the “Back to School Pack”, which will be distributed to the first kids through the gate on Friday, August 5th, when the Rafters square off against the Waterloo Bucks at 7:05pm. Each “Back to School Pack” will include a backpack, folder, and pencil to help students get a head start on their school supply shopping.
The NAPA Auto Parts “Race for the Pennant” on-field promotion will be back in 2011. Kids 14 and under will be chosen to come down on the field between innings during select home dates to race one of two NAPA Auto Parts mini cars. The mini cars will be pushed by the contestants and the first to reach Rosco P. Rafter and a member of the Rafters staff is the winner. Visit your local NAPA Auto Parts Store for more details.
NAPA will also be the presenter of many other exciting events throughout the year at their local stores and at the ballpark. Stay tuned for a special preseason promotion at your locally owned NAPA Auto Parts and NAPA Auto Care Centers this coming May.
