Grizzlies Look to Fans For New Concession Item

PRESS RELEASE – The Gateway Grizzlies are looking for help from the fans in deciding their newest concession item at GCS Ballpark.

Since 2004 the Grizzlies have been adding a new concession item to their “Baseball’s Best” line each year.  The 2011 season will be no different, but this time the Grizzlies are asking for input from their fans.
 
The Grizzlies are now accepting ideas that can be emailed to the team at info@gatewaygrizzlies.com.  All ideas should include detailed information on how to make the particular item.  The Grizzlies front office staff will select the top recipes from the emails and place those ideas in poll form on the Grizzlies website so fans can once again have their input and vote on the newest concession item at GCS Ballpark.
 
“We have a national reputation for the food we serve at our baseball games and this is a great chance for the fans to get involved and feel a part of that, “Grizzlies Director of Stadium Operations Brent Pownall commented.  “We know our fans have some great ideas and this will be a great experience for all of us in the front office to get to see them.”
 
The “Baseball’s Best” tradition began in 2004 when “Baseball’s Best Hotdog” hit GCS Ballpark.   Last season, the Grizzlies brought “The Beast” to their concession line at GCS Ballpark.   “Baseball’s Best Burger”, the Grizzlies trademark burger placed between a Krispy Kreme doughnut, has been recognized nationally along the team’s “Baseball’s Best Nachos” were featured on Adam Richman’s Man vs. Food television show on the Travel Channel.
