The United League’s Coastal Bend Thunder have been locked out of Fairgrounds Field in Robstown (TX). The Nueces County Commissioners took action against the Thunder on Wednesday, because the team and the league had failed to respond to repeated attempts to recover $24,000 in unpaid rent. The team has until Jan. 15 to pay up, or the commissioners will seek a new tenant. The club was expected to begin play in the newly formed North American League next season. Read more here.
