Nassau County to Swing for Atlantic League Fences

Nassau County (NY) Executive Edward Mangano indicated on Monday that the county hopes to break ground on a new minor league stadium by the spring of 2012 for an Atlantic League team.  As proposed, the county would guarantee funding for the project, with the team making all of the payments on the debt.  Read more here.  This wouldn’t be the first time Nassau County has been in the game.  Read more here.
