Green Bay Ballpark Project a No Go Without Public Financing

Jeff Royle, owner of the summer collegiate Green Bay (WI) Mallards, informed the Green Bay Redevelopment Authority on Tuesday that he will not be able to move forward with a $20 million riverfront ballpark project without public assistance.  Royle indicated that the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority has agreed to fund 20 percent of the project through the New Market Tax Credit program, but that banks have declined to finance the balance of the project.  Royle was told by the RDA to come back before the body in December and present a detailed stadium plan that includes funding and financing needs.  Read more here.
