American Association Could Grow by at Least Four

At least four teams from the indy pro Northern League could join the American Association in time for the 2011 season, including the Winnipeg Goldeyes, Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks, Kansas City T-Bones, and Gary SouthShore RailCats.

This move would be a reunion of sorts, as the St. Paul Saints, Lincoln Saltdogs, Sioux Falls Canaries (now the Pheasants), and Sioux City Explorers left the Northern League for the the American Association under not-so-pretty terms several years ago.  Apparently the hatchet has been buried (out of necessity or otherwise), opening the door to this and other likely industry realignment.  Read more here and here.
