PRESS RELEASE – The Hickory Crawdads, South Atlantic League affiliate of the Texas Rangers, have announced that Kathryn Bobel has been promoted to director of group sales and Douglas Locascio has been promoted to director of ticket operations and merchandising.
Bobel, 24, is entering her third season with the Crawdads. She originally joined the ‘Dads as a front office intern in 2009, before being promoted to co-director of group sales in 2010. Bobel is a native of Indianapolis, Indiana, and graduated from Bowling Green State University in December, 2008, with a degree in sport management. She has previously worked with the Indianapolis Indians in the International League (AAA) and USA Track and Field.
Locascio, 23, is entering his second season with the ‘Dads, after joining the Front Office in March, 2010, as interim tickets manager. He is a native of Tampa Bay, Florida, and graduated from Campbell University in December, 2009, with a degree in sport management and a minor in business administration. While at Campbell, Locascio lettered in all four years on the Fighting Camels wrestling team. He previously worked with the Wilmington (NC) Sharks of the Coastal Plain League and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the NFL.
