The Fresno Grizzlies are pleased to announce today the appointment of Richard Fleming as the organization’s new Chief Executive Officer. The management change is just part of a larger shift in overall organizational structure and philosophy as the Grizzlies look forward to the 2011 season. The Grizzlies will be holding a press conference in the 600 Club at Chukchansi Park at 10:00am on Friday, September 24th to introduce Mr. Fleming as well as their redeveloped business and marketing strategies.
The Grizzlies will make additional changes to the way the Company is structured over the next few weeks. The top professional sports franchise in the Central Valley, the club will also be announcing expanded partnerships with other community organizations in the region as it continues to strive to provide the most affordable, complete fun and family entertainment value.
“We are very pleased to have Richard join our team here in Fresno,” said Grizzlies Managing General Partner Chris Cummings. “We believe that he will be instrumental in leading us in an even more community-focused direction and will help the Grizzlies in our efforts to engage more directly with the people of the Central Valley.”
Fleming brings 30 years of business management consulting and legal experience to the Grizzlies organization. With a J.D. from the College of William and Mary and an MBA from the University of Washington, he has served as a Senior Executive and Management Consultant for the last 19 years, working with industry giants such as Microsoft and Monsanto.
“I am excited to have the chance to manage this Organization,” said Fleming. “I look forward to helping the Grizzlies achieve their business goals and create a positive and sustained contribution to the local community.”
