PRESS RELEASE – The first feet came through the gates when the ribbon was cut on June 15, 2007, and now, just over three years later, the York Revolution are ready to welcome their 1,000,000th fan to Sovereign Bank Stadium.
As of today, 976,895 fans have come through the gates all-time. With a five-game homestand beginning tomorrow night, the countdown is at just 23,105, a mark that could be reached as early as this Tuesday night.
While fans are free to strategize to be the 1,000,000th fan, the deciding factor will likely be luck. That lucky fan will instantly win 2011 season tickets, and other exclusive prizes, and become King or Queen of Sovereign Bank Stadium for the night.

Meanwhile, the Revs have made an exciting new mid-season addition to the promotional schedule. The team has announced plans to honor their first general manager with “Matt O’Brien Night” on Monday, August 30. Fans will have the opportunity to pay tribute to “MOB” before he heads south to assume his post as President / General Manager of Opening Day Partners’ new franchise in Sugar Land, TX.
Matt has left his mark on York and the Revolution franchise, and the Revs are making sure he’ll be honored in style before the game and with tributes throughout the evening. The Revs’ loyal staff may even have a few “personalized tributes” up their collective sleeves.
Tickets are available at YorkRevolution.com, (717) 801-HITS, and in-person at the Apple Chevrolet Ticket Office. Playoff tickets are also on-sale now!
