Pels Could Dump American Association for Affiliation

Quint Studer, owner of the American Association’s Pensacola Pelicans, is exploring opportunities to bring an affiliated club to Community Maritime Park, a new stadium that is expected to open in 2012.   Studer is looking at the Single-A South Atlantic League and Double-A Southern League.  With an average of 1,531 fans per game, the troubled Huntsville (AL) Stars could be a target.  Read more here.
