With only two teams with permanent homes, the Las Cruces (NM) Vaqueros and the Big Bend (Alpine, TX) Cowboys, the four team Continental Baseball League is still struggling for survival. Matters were apparently made worse when the CBL’s reported deal with the New York State League to own and operate the inaugural Desert Valley Mountain Lions fell apart. The club is primarily a road team operating out of El Paso Community College, but the team’s website indicates that all eyes are on Utah for a permanent home in 2011. Read more here.
