Pohlad Family Donates $2 Million for New Ballpark for Gophers

The fundraising for a new on campus ballpark for the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers baseball team just got a major injection.  The Pohlad family, owners of the Minnesota Twins, announced at a press conference yesterday a $2 million gift to the university for the project.  The Gophers hope to begin play in the new 3,000-seat, $7.5 million (Phase I) facility by 2012.  Read more here.
