PRESS RELEASE – Tattoo Night, Two Bobbleheads, and Military Appreciation Weekend Highlight Promotion Calendar for Homestand. The Lancaster JetHawks return home for a promotion-packed seven-game homestand at Clear Channel Stadium, beginning May 18. The JetHawks will take on the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes and the High Desert Mavericks over the course of seven games. Two bobblehead giveaways, free JetHawks Tattoos and Lifetime Season Tickets for two lucky fans, Friday Fireworks and a T-Shirt giveaway are just a few of the promotions JetHawks fans can take advantage of during the week’s worth of games.
The homestand commences with a three-game series against the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, beginning May 18. Game one of the series is a Taco Tuesday, in which fans can purchase tacos for just $2 apiece. It is also another Kraft Singles Tuesday Tickets night at the Hangar and fans can get two tickets for the price of one if they bring a Kraft Singles wrapper to the stadium Box Office. First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m. May 18.
Game two of the JetHawks-Quakes series will be the fourth in the JetHawks “Hangar Heroes” Bobblehead giveaway series with the first 750 fans receiving a Mike Lanza Bobblehead courtesy of Lancaster Honda. Lanza is an Antelope Valley resident and was a member of the original 1996 JetHawks team. It’s also a Winning Wednesday presented by Buffalo Wild Wings and Aaron’s with the first 1,000 fans receiving scratch-off cards to win prizes from the JetHawks and their sponsors. Game time is set for 7 p.m. May 19.
The JetHawks-Quakes series concludes with Tattoo Night on May 20. Two lucky fans will receive a free JetHawks tattoo courtesy of Psycho City Tattoo and lifetime season tickets to enjoy Lancaster JetHawks baseball. Additionally, it is the return of Cheers Buck Beers with $1 domestic draft beers available for purchase through the sixth inning. Fans will also have a chance to win $30,000 as part of $30,000 Thursdays presented by Jeri Beaven Mattox All-State Insurance. First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m. May 20.
The JetHawks welcome the High Desert Mavericks to the Hangar for a four-game weekend series beginning on May 21. Friday’s series opener kicks off Military Appreciation Weekend. The first 1,000 fans to pass through the turnstiles will receive a Koby Clemens bobblehead courtesy of Lancaster Honda. Clemens, who led the minor leagues in RBI during the 2009 season, is the fifth “Hangar Heroes” bobblehead honoree. Friday Fireworks presented by KMIX 106.3 FM will follow the contest, which is slated for a 7 p.m. start.
Saturday’s JetHawks-Mavericks ballgame is T-Shirt night at the ballpark. The first 1,500 fans in attendance will receive a free 15th anniversary JetHawks T-Shirt presented by TapouT Training Center. Game time is set for 7 p.m. May 22.
The first Dog Day Afternoon of the 2010 season will take place on May 23. Fans can purchase pooch passes from the JetHawks Box Office and bring their dogs to the park. Seating for fans and their dogs will be on the grass berm on the first base side of the stadium. Dog Day Afternoon is presented by the upcoming 20th Century Fox film Marmaduke. First pitch for the game is slated for 5 p.m.
The homestand concludes with Feed-Your-Face Monday on May 24. Fans can purchase reserved seat tickets for $10 and get all the hamburgers, hot dogs, peanuts and popcorn they can consume during the ballgame. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
The 2010 season marks the 15th anniversary of professional baseball in the Antelope Valley, and since its inaugural game in 1996, The Hangar has produced more than 90 Major Leaguers and inducted 25 members into The JetHawks Hall of Fame.
