Emeralds Get a New Look

PRESS RELEASE – Fans may notice something a little different about http://www.go-ems.com today. The Emeralds launched a new MLB Advanced Media template on their homepage, giving the site a complete makeover.

The new http://www.go-ems.com includes several features that bring fans closer to the team, the players and the game. An expanded game center includes live in-game scoring and player information, upcoming schedule and promotional news. The site also features one-click access to all of the Ems social media platforms, giving fans the opportunity to directly connect with the Emeralds and other Emeralds fans. Fans can also easily access the team’s ticket center and view specific ticket offers, as well as browse the latest headline news from the Emeralds, parent club San Diego Padres and Minor League Baseball.

MLB Advanced Media, employing the same award-winning resources and groundbreaking technologies used to create mlb.com, first launched the MiLB.com network in 2005. Now encompassing over 160 club and league sites in 2010, the MiLB.com network is the ultimate resource on the web for Minor League Baseball, providing baseball fans with an unparalleled amount of editorial and multimedia content, game and player stats, team information and ticketing opportunities.

“With the new site, we are going to take the opportunity to make go-ems.com the go-to place for Emeralds information,” said Director of Media Relations Onalee Carson. “We are going to utilize it like our own news site, producing new content on a regular basis such as feature articles, blog posts from our official team blog “EMazing Ems” and exclusive interviews with front office staff, and field staff and players when they arrive in June.

“Call 342-5367 or visit http://www.go-ems.com for more information. And don’t forget to check the Ems out on Facebook and Twitter. Sluggo even has Facebook-be sure to friend him!
