Toyota Sign at Wrigley Approved by Commission, Hurdles Remain

The Chicago Landmarks Commission has given its approval to allow the Chicago Cubs to place a large lighted Toyota sign at Wrigley Field.  However, Alderman Tom Tunney, who represents the ward that includes Wrigley, remains opposed to the idea.  The Cubs must still get past the City Council Buildings Committee, which won’t be easy without Tunney’s support.  Read more here.   In a letter to fans, Cubs owner Tom Ricketts explains the team’s position.
