PRESS RELEASE – The Rafters and Wisconsin Rapids radio station WFHR (1320 AM) will partner to broadcast the Rafters Inaugural 2010 season. WFHR will provide live broadcasts of all 70 Rafters games at home and on the road this season.
“We’re very excited to be partnering with WFHR and to provide the opportunity for our fans to listen to the games that they may not be able to attend,” said Rafters general manager Liz Kern.
WFHR serves the Wisconsin Rapids, Wausau, and Stevens Point areas. The call letters were derived from William F. Huffman Sr., who founded the station in November 1940. Over the years, WFHR’s programming emphasis has been mostly on Local News, Sports, Information, and Talk Radio.
